Donald Trump attacks Buhari,
other Africans leaders

– Donald Trump has harshly
criticised African leaders for
turning own people into slaves
and promoting corruption
– “Africa should be recolonized
because Africans are still under
slavery.”
Republican presidential candidate in the United
States presidential election of 2016 Donald Trump
is at it again, as he has lashed out at African
heads of state.
Mr Trump was adressing reporters in Nebraska
last week, where he condemned African leaders for
having insatiable desire for power and wealth, while
their people are living like slaves.
Responding to a question a from South African
journalist on African countries considering mass
withdrawal from the International Criminal Court
(ICC) Trump said:

Whossp:::----- Virginity Tests

Is your girl a virgin? 3 signs
she is not

For many men it is important to
be the first one with their wife.
So, they are looking to marry
virgin girls. But how does find out
about such a thing without
carrying out a virginity test? Get
the signs now.
Surely, before you start applying these to your
girlfriend, you should gain a deeper understanding of
what virginity is and how a girl gets disvirgined.
For one, it is not all about the physical condition.
Surely, most virgins have unbroken hymen (a tissue
that partially closes their vagina entrance).
However, the hymen can be broken without sex.
For instance, a girl may be playing or riding her
bike and it gets torn accidentally. She still remains
a virgin, though.
Virginity is not about hymen, but rather about
absence of sexual experience. Can you call a girl
with unbroken hymen who had oral sex a virgin? Or
the one who had anal sex? Virginity is about moral
purity and integrity. It is the quality of soul,
rather than of the body.
So, here are the signs of possible virginity loss in
your girlfriend.
1. Her reaction to your questions
What does she say when you ask her if she is a
virgin? In most cases, (if the girl is not a
feminist), she would react calmly or shyly. The
one who has lost it, may get irritated by your
inquiries or angry with you. She has it no more and
those questions make her nervous.
Unless, she is a very self-confident girl, who
knows who she is with the hymen or without it!
2. She gets engaged in sex talk
easily
A virgin girl has a bit of this natural modesty.
She does not have firsthand experience in the
process, so sex talk makes her uncomfortable. She
would not be easily engaged in it.
3. How she conducts herself with
men
Virginity loss is a serious step in every woman’s
life. It involves some big changes in her behavior
as well. But once there is not more to lose, a girl
may start acting more lavishly and self-indulging
with men. If she is a student, she might be hanging
out in the teachers’ office all the time. It’s not a
secret that such a place is rich with sex opportunities.
Now, if you see only one of these signs do not
jump into any conclusion. Even a combination of
all 3 of them is not a sure sign of the virginity
loss. However, they may indicate a girl is not a
virgin anymore. So, beware of them and pay close
attention to her dressing style, conversations and
moral standards.

HEALTH:------ permanent natural remedies to remove uterine fibroids

4 permanent natural remedies
to remove uterine fibroids

Uterine fibroids also known as
leiomyomata, myomas or uterine
polyps are non-cancerous tumors
of the uterus.
Uterine fibroids grow within the muscles of the
uterus, on the outside of the uterus, hang in the
uterine cavity or very rarely form within the cervix.
They can range in size from microscopic to several
inches in diameter. Uterine fibroids form in the
childbearing years of a woman’s life. There may be
just one fibroid or many, with differing locations.
Uterine fibroids are rarely a cause for concern, but
when they become too large, or there are many
present, they may become a problem. http://
bit.ly/1XLK4jp
Causes of uterine fibroids:
Though a large percentage of women suffer from
uterine fibroids, doctors are actually unsure of what
causes them to occur. What they do know however,
is that estrogen and progesterone contribute to the
growth of the fibroids.
Estrogen and progesterone are at their highest levels
during a woman’s childbearing years, this is why
uterine fibroids are thought to develop during this
time. Normally, after a woman goes through
menopause her body produces lower levels of estrogen
and progesterone causing the fibroids to begin to
shrink and any associated symptoms, such as pain
and pressure to subside. http://bit.ly/1XLK4jp
Uterine fibroids are hormone dependent.

besieging Nigeria
– The Kaduna state governor has
declared a state-of-emergency on
tomatoes
– El-Rufai say a critical look will
be taken to arrest the situation
– He has also about 7million
livestock will be vaccinated
El-Rufai declared the state-of-emergency on
tomatoes farming in the state, on Monday, May
23.
Governor El-Rufai has declared state of
emergency on tomatoes
The governor said that 80 per cent of tomatoes
farms have been ravaged by an exotic pest, called
tomato blight (Tuta Absoluta).
He said about 200 farmers in only three local
government areas in the state lost one billion Niara
in the last one month.
Speaking at a Press Conference through his
Commissioner for Agriculture in Kaduna, he said
already, some officials of the ministry had been sent
to Kenya to liaise with experts and return with the
best way of arresting the situation.
He said: “I want to say that Governor
Nasir El-Rufai has declared a state-
of-emergency on tomatoes in the
state. This is as a result of invasion
of the crops by a pest named tomato
blight, botanically known as Tuta
Aboluta.
“In the past one month, 12 local
government areas of the state that
produce tomatoes have lost 80 per
cent of its tomatoes harvest. In three
local government areas, about 200
farmers have lost one billion naira
worth of their tomatoes. So you can
imagine the magnitude of the lose.
“It is so severe that even Dangote
who has established a tomato
processing plant in Kano, had to shut
down production.

Fulani Herdsmen: Save our

– Nigerians have urged President

lives from Fulani herdsmen who
continue to kill citizens
– Within the last 3 months,
thousands of Nigerians have been
killed by the herdsmen leaving

destroyed
Nigerians have urged President Muhammadu
Buhari to save their lives from the continuous
killing of citizens of the country by Fulani
herdsmen.
Within the last 3 months, thousands of Nigerians
have been killed by the herdsmen leaving properties
worth billions destroyed.
A group, citizens of Idoma Land in Benue state,
who made the call in Abuja said: “The reason
for the concert is to bring to the fore
as we have done in the past few
months since the Agatu massacre to
keep it on the burner so that what is
required by government and
individuals are done. I can confirm to
you that Fulani herdsmen are still
occupying some villages that were
originally for the Agatu people,
particularly on the Nassarawa State
axis.”
Also speaking, another leader of the group, Moses
Paul said it was unfortunate that it took the state
governor almost seven weeks after the carnage to visit
Agatu.
“The killings have not even abated
yet, they have curtailed it. But there
are villages in Agatu, about four
villages that have been taken over
completely by Fulani herdsmen. In
less than 24 hours when the Enugu
carnage happened, which was less
than 10 percent of what happened in
Agatu, the Governor of the state was
there and even the Inspector General
of Polce, IGP, that is what I called
pro-activeness,” he said.

Senator calls on FG to grant
amnesty to treasury looters

– Senator Bassey Akpan called on
the federal government to
“declare amnesty on stolen
money”
– According to him, every
Nigerian that has taken money
out of this country should be
given amnesty to bring back the
money and invest in the country
– Describing the current pains of
Nigerians as unnecessary, the
senator expressed assurance that
the government has what it takes
to turn around the economy
Senator Bassey Akpan
Bassey Akpan, the chairman of the Senate
committee on gas, has said that owners of Nigeria’s
stolen money stashed in the various banks all over
the world should be granted special amnesty.
Akpan expressed his opinion on Monday, May
23, while addressing journalists in his office, The
Punch reports.
The senator said that Nigeria has hundreds of
billions of dollars stashed in various banks abroad.
However, the countries where the stolen money kept
are using them to drive their own economy, while
Nigerians are suffering.
“The time has come when we have to
think outside the box and my own
position is this, it is possible that the
government can declare amnesty on
stolen money. Let every Nigerian that
has taken money out of this country
be given amnesty to bring back the
money and invest in the country.”
“When owners of the Nigeria’s

stolen foreign currencies bring them
back to the country as a result of the
amnesty, a lot of foreign exchange
can be generated to fund our local
consumption and we can set target,”
he said.
Akpan said those who had stolen the nation’s money
should be encouraged to bring it back and invest in
Nigeria’s economy.
Describing the current pains as unnecessary, the
senator expressed assurance that the federal
government has what it takes to turn around the
economy.
“Why are we suffering in the midst of
plenty? Amnesty was created for
militancy, we should create amnesty
for anybody that has taken money
outside this country so that they can
invest them in the country. We can
generate a hundred billion dollar in
the process in less than six months.
“We need enough forex to fund our
importation, rebuild our industries,
establish capacity locally and import
raw materials for industries before
thinking of exporting finished
products. Where we are as a country
now, we should begin to look
inward,” he noted.
Akpan stressed that the government should not only
fight corruption, but let its battle yield the
appropriate results.
“Our economy based on the
statistics available to us has gone
into full blown recession. There is
reduction in revenue collection based
on the basis of oil export because of
the dwindling global oil crisis.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
has accused northerners of trying to instigate the
federal government to carry out genocide in the
southeast Nigeria using security operatives.
IPOB has justified the agitation for the Biafra
state on the grounds that it can no longer feign
ignorance of the deep seated hatred of Igbos in the
heart of the president.
The group in a statement of Monday, May 23,
faulted the call by Northern groups demanding that
Biafra secessionist groups be treated as Boko
Haram, Daily Post reports
The group’s spokespersons, Barr. Emma Mmezu
and Dr. Clifford Iroanya, said the demand by
the northerners was similar to the ember of hatred
that prepared the ground for the violence in which
hundreds of thousands of Easterners mostly women
and children, were systematically slaughtered all over
Northern Nigeria shortly before the civil war.
The group said: Another faceless group,
Northern consensus movement,
which claims to be a coalition of
northern groups, even though only
president Buhari’s Miyetti Allah
turned out the only recognizable
group among obviously fake others,
alleged that hundreds of Northerners
are being killed in the south east,
and went on to advice the F.G. to
treat IPOB the way F.G. treated Boko
Haram.
“It is instructive, that the entire
South-West based media houses
have never noted any attacks on
Northerners in the South East. It is
also surprising that these false
allegations are coming only from
President Buhari’s own organization,

HEALTH:----Finally revealed: The permanent cure for type 2 diabetes

Finally revealed: The
permanent cure for type 2
diabetes

After so much research and
inquiry into the cure of Diabetes,
our team has finally laid to rest
the silent killer called Diabetes.
People have been rendered
incapacitated due to the
complications associated with this
sickness, which is fast rising in
the world today.
Most Diabetics are not comfortable with the
conventional drugs they take because they would have
to live with it for the rest of their lives. It is so
because their drugs only dilute the sugar content in
the blood but does not correct the anomaly in the
body system that leads to diabetes. http://
bit.ly/1Qou0Px
Our natural miracle cure re-engineers/re-wires the
body system and reactivates the hormone in the body
called pancreas, which in turn produces sufficient
insulin for the body. It therefore sustains this
correction and makes the patient bid diabetes farewell.
http://bit.ly/1Qou0Px
It is better to take care of it ASAP because
the complications associated with Diabetes are deadly
and paralytic. People with diabetes have an
increased risk of developing a number of serious
health problems. Consistently high blood glucose
levels can lead to serious diseases affecting the heart
and blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, nerves and teeth.
In addition, people with diabetes also have a higher
risk of developing infections. In almost all high-
income countries, diabetes is a leading cause of
cardiovascular disease, blindness, kidney failure, and
lower limb amputation.
Click here to find out more: http://
bit.ly/1Qou0Px
Maintaining blood glucose levels, blood pressure,
and cholesterol at or close to normal can help delay
or prevent diabetes complications. Therefore people
with diabetes need regular monitoring.
– Cardiovascular disease: affects the
heart and blood vessels and may cause fatal
complications such as coronary artery disease (leading
to heart attack) and stroke. Cardiovascular disease is
the most common cause of death in people with
diabetes. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, high
blood glucose and other risk factors contribute to
increasing the risk of cardiovascular complications.
Click here to find out more: http://
bit.ly/1Qou0Px
– Kidney disease (diabetic
nephropathy): caused by damage to small
blood vessels in the kidneys leading to the kidneys
becoming less efficient or to fail altogether. Kidney
disease is much more common in people with diabetes
than in those without diabetes. Maintaining near
normal levels of blood glucose and blood pressure
can greatly reduce the risk of kidney disease. Click

UNBELIEVABLE;---2016 Toyota Prius Review – photos

2016 Toyota Prius Review –
photos

by Jeff Cobb May 18, 2016
54 / 50MPG
4.4 / 4.7L/100km
TECHNOLOGY: Hybrid
BASE MSRP: $25,035
There’s something to be said for having the world’s most
established electrified car, and Toyota knew it as it
launched its fourth-generation 2016 Prius in January
this year.
The new hybrid’s fuel economy surpasses the 2010-2015
model’s 50 mpg combined EPA rating by as much as
10 percent with a 56 mpg “Two Eco” version, and five
other trim levels are rated 52 mpg combined.
Formally called the Prius Liftback to distinguish it
from variants, the lower, wider, and longer car promises
more spaciousness, better road manners, and Toyota
suggests the new design is “modern,” “dramatic,” or
“emotional.”
To say the highly anticipated Prius has garnered a
response is at least true. Merging styling elements of the
now-familiar wedge shape with cues from the Mirai fuel
cell car , the new look has elicited praise from some while
other armchair design critics and even some professional
reviewers have bestowed cutting remarks.
But whether people love it, don’t love it, or are
indifferent, newly introduced Prius models have incited
polarized reactions before, but after any histrionics
subsided, the perceptibly outlandish car has blended in and
Toyota keeps selling them. Lots of them.
Since 1997 Toyota has globally sold more than 3.5
million “Prii,” and its hybrid architecture has let
Toyota happily find a market for itself which it now
dominates with 70-percent U.S. marketshare and over a
dozen Lexus and Toyota models. Cumulative global
sales have totaled over 8 million.

How my marriage was saved
by this bedroom solution

You are about the read the
dirtiest thought of an unsatisfied
wife! http://
fredrickbabatunde.com/na/
So before you read on, be prepared to understand
what your wife goes through when you are not 100%
of the man you should be for her.
My name is Adaobi and I am married to a
caring husband by the name of Frederick
Babatunde. Even though Frederick is a man of
any woman’s dream, He lacked one thing that is
most important to us women even though we find it
hard to publicly accept.
Frederick couldn’t observe his manly duties, I
don’t mean the material things because Frederick is
100% with that. But the Manly duties that makes
a woman moan in ecstasy. And I’m sharing with
you my side of the story before I let Frederick
take over and tell you his ordeal, the problem and
how he found the solution that has long eluded him.
It’s very easy for us women to say everything is
alright in our bedroom when we are at the verge of
losing our mind and I am no exclusion because I
was at the verge of doing what I never thought I
could ever do – cheat on my Frederick.
If not for the sworn covenant of “For Better
For Worse” , I would probably have slept with
another man due to frustration of not getting what I
need in the bedroom from my husband.
For so many years, I was dying in silence, the
feeling of unsatisfaction was driving me insane and
I didn’t know what to do. Then finally the idea
of cheating on my husband started playing in my
head. At first when it comes to mind, I quickly
kick it out but every time Frederick leaves me
unsatisfied with his small Johnson and spilling his
thick milk in less than 1 minute, my mind start
playing games on me by bringing the thought of
getting what Frederick was lacking from another
guy.
Sometimes I fantasized about meeting a guy that
will give it to me hard without any strings attached,
I needed to be satisfied so bad that it started
affecting my closeness with Frederick. If not for
the fear of God and the saving grace that Frederick
accepted that he was not 100% when it comes to
satisfying me, I would have probably lost my way
or become a shadow of myself, also because we
could talk about it without any of us cursing on each
other.

WHY NOW:----A man who wore breast implants for 19 years wants them out!

A man who wore breast
implants for 19 years wants
them out!

Why on Earth would a man want
to get breast implants and have
boobs like a lady? First reason
was the money and the second
reason was love!
The man’s name is Brian Zembic and nearly 20
years ago he had a bet: he won $100 000 for getting
breast implants and having female boobs for one
year. That happened back in 1997. Brian is a
gambler and he is passionate about winning. So, he
took the bet and started the search for a surgeon.
Back at that time it was not an easy thing to do.
Eventually he found one and luckily the guy also
loved to gamble. So, Brian won few bets with
him and got his breast implants for free! He had to
wear them for one year to get the money and he did.
He could have taken them out now, but… he fell
in love with his own boobs!
So, he just kept them for 19 years! That has made
him a man who better understands female issues, such
as picking the right size and support bra. He was

Low sperm count and infertility in
men is more prevalent than most
couples think. People tend to
think that if a woman is not
getting pregnant the fertility issue
must be with the woman, but that
is not necessarily always the case.
There is an equal chance that male factor infertility
can be the cause of a couple’s difficulty in achieving
pregnancy. While women have many tests to try to
find out the cause of infertility, men have only a
couple, the sperm analysis being the easiest. http://

BREAKING NEWD::---Federal government raised alarm, say River Niger is drying

River Niger is
drying up

– The Federal government has
raised its voice regarding the
drying up of River Niger
– According to the government,
the change is due to dumping of
industrial waste and climate
alterations
– Nigeria is conducting and
environmental audit to determine
the level of dryness
The alarm was raised on Thursday, May 19, at
a meeting in which the need to pay more attention to
the development was raised.
Vanguard reports that the Auditor General of the
Federation (AGF), Mr Samuel Tyonongo
Ukura, made the disclosure during a meeting with
the Edo state Auditor-General and members of
the Edo state public accounts committee in his office
in Abuja.
River Niger may be nearing extinction.
Ukura, however, assured that Nigeria was in the
process of conducting an environmental audit of the
River Niger to determine its level of dryness.
Meanwhile, AGoF has called on the National
Assembly to pass the Audit Bill into law. He
said there were certain international ratings that the
country cannot attain without passing an audit law.

goddess about the Osun/Osogbo shrine
Ukura explained that the initial investigation of the
River Niger showed that the decline of the river’s
flow was mainly due to climate change, industrial
waste and problems caused by population growth.
River Niger has a total length of about 4100
kilometres and is the third longest river in Africa,
after the Nile and the Congo-Zaire rivers and
spreads through ten countries.
It is estimated that about 110 million people live in
the river’s basin. Ukura said the audit will be done
under the African Supreme Audit Institute
(AFROSAI), with Mali, Niger,
Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Algeria,
Chad and Cote I’voire taking centre stage as they
are directly affected.

BREAKING NEWS:--Trouble looms as Amaechi, Sirika engage in power tussle

Trouble looms as Amaechi,
Sirika engage in power tussle

– Sirika is said to be showing
insubordination to his direct boss,
Amaechi
– Sources say this may not be
unconnected to his (Sirika’s)
relationship with President Buhari
– Amaechi is said not to be
taking the acts with a pinch of
salt
– Aviation workers express
disappointment over the public
squabbles of the ministers
There is a mild war brewing in President
Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet between Rotimi
Amaechi and Hadi Sirika, Signal reports.
Amaechi is Nigeria’s minister of Transport while
Sirika is the minister of state for Aviation and the
pair are said to be at loggerheads over reported acts
of insubordination by the latter.
According to Signal, sources revealed that both
ministers were close to exchanging physical blows on
Monday save for the intervention of some civil
servants and aides who were at the scene of the
disagreement.
Amaechi and Sirika are said to be at loggerheads
over acts of insubordination by the junior minister.
Sirika is reportedly reluctant to have Amaechi (a
senior minister and direct boss) push him around.
But the former Rivers state governor is on the
other hand, not having any of Sirika’s acts and is
working to put him in his place.
The reason for the junior minister’s acts, sources
disclosed, is the fact that he is from President
Buhari’s Katsina north senatorial district, where
he served as a senator.
A source explained details of the incident to
Signal thus: “It’s all about power tussle.
Sirika thinks Amaechi is overstepping
his boundaries and should mind his
business as Transport Minister. But
Amaechi is also in charge of
Aviation.
“He is the senior minister, while
Sirika as Minister of State for
Aviation is junior minister. But Sirika
sees himself as the President’s guy.
So, he refuses to take directives from
Amaechi and now Amaechi is feeling
undermined.
“This has led to a big power play
between both men. It is becoming so
messy that even the official portraits
of both ministers are missing at the
airports. That’s why Amaechi was
doing maritime summit in Lagos
while Sirika was doing aviation in
Abuja.”

season at second place

Arsenal
– According to the playmaker, he
is not going to leave the Gunners
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has expressed his
disappointment with the Arsenal’s failed season.
The Gunners victory, coupled with Spurs
trouncing at the St. James’s Park by
Newcastle, ensured Wenger’s men finish above
their rivals yet again. Giroud’s close–range header
handed his side an early lead, before doubling up
midway through the second-half.
Speaking about Arsenal’s season Ozil noted: “I
think we dropped a lot of points that
we shouldn’t have dropped against
smaller teams and I think that was
the point in the season where as a
team we weren’t strong enough to
take just a point and go
ahead. Especially after the Barcelona
game we lost some points. That was
a time when we weren’t good enough
to just take points and go.”
He continued: “It’s a long season and a
lot of things must go right. One of
the things is players getting injured
which is one factor definitely. On the
other hand we just have to focus
more and with stronger players
maybe coming in be competitive for
next season and we will see where
we end up at the end.”
Mesut Ozil
The player concluded: “I think for us in the
end it was important to qualify
directly for the Champions League
which is the second or third
place. To be second in the last game
of the season and be on top of
Tottenham was also good for us and
our fans. It was a good finish to the
season.”
Don Balon reports that Mesut Ozil is growing
tired of the club’s lack of success in the Premier
League and in Europe under Wenger. However,
the player who was signed by Arsenal from Real
Madrid for £42.5 million in 2013, states that he
still has respect for the coach.
Via his twitter Ozil said: “Have seen the
media reports today. Arsène Wenger
was a big reason for me joining
Arsenal – this hasn’t changed!”

5 small acts that win you
instant affection of people

Wish to win sympathy and favor
with other people? If you do these
5 simple, but effective things, you
can establish positive and
lucrative relationships in your
business or in your private life.
1. Be a copy cat
When you talk to someone try to use your body to
sort of mimic their moves and gestures. Surely, you
do not need to copy everything they do, but a slight
mirroring can do wonders. The study carried about
back in 1999 discovered that such behavior makes
people instinctively and subconsciously like you.
2. Say good things about them
Positive words and compliments cost you nothing.
However, if you can say them sincerely, and that is
the major condition, they open up the hearts of
people to you. Basically, this is how it works:
you say good things to them about them and they
begin to see more great stuff in you and like you.
3. Be their friends’ friend
If you know well and get along well with some of
their buddies, it opens up a way for acceptance. If
they know their friends like you, they follow their
example.
4. Be happy
A happy person works like a magnet. Happiness
can be passed on to the other person. Once they get
in good mood, they become more open to like you.
5. Be vulnerable
Vulnerability can be very powerful. When you
open up and show your flaws and weaknesses,
people see you as a human being. They do not have
to defend against you or demonstrate their perfectness.
Instead they get the freedom to be friendly with
you.
These things are simple, but they can help you to
get better relationships at work, in business or in
your private life.

NLC reveals why they walked
out on the Buhari-led
government

– The NLC walked out from a
meeting with the Nigerian
government
– Nigeria’s government refused to
consider the NLC’s demands,
hence triggering the walk out
– The meeting with the
government lasted barely an hour
before a walk out was staged
– NLC said it is not ready to listen
to the government’s offer
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), on the
night of Tuesday, May 17, walked out on the
Nigerian government, after a last minute meeting in
attempt to avert a nationwide strike over increased
petrol price, collapsed mid-way.
NLC says the Nigerian government is not ready
to heed the demands of the people.
Representatives of the organised labour staged a
walkout on government representatives, claiming that
the government refused to even consider its demand
for a reversal of the price hike, and an earlier
increase in electricity tariffs.
The meeting, called by the Secretary to the
Government of the Federation (SGF),
Babachir Lawal, was attended by the president of
NLC, Aliyu Wabba, who led representatives
of affiliate groups including Trade Union
Congress, TUC, and civil society organisations.
Sources reveal that the meeting was barely an hour
into its agenda when the labour leaders decided to
stage a walkout after what they called the “refusal of
government to accede to their demands”.
Premium Times reports that the General
Secretary of the NLC, Peter Ozo-Eson, said
members could not continue to put up with the
government’s unbending attitude towards their
demands.
“The talks with government broke
down because it was not ready to
address the issues the NLC placed
on the table for discussion; so we
left,” Mr. Ozo-Eson said.

LIVE: Divided NLC defies court,
embarks on strike

Nigerians have remained in topsy-
turvy following the new
development in the country’s
downstream oil sector. Now lets  recalls that the federal government
on Wednesday, May 11, removed subsidy from
sale of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also
known as petrol with immediate effect.
According to the government, a benchmark of
N145 per litre, has been recommended as pump
price.
The announcement was made by Ibe Kachikwu,
minister of state for petroleum, who however promised
the price will not stay for so long.
This however didn’t go down well with the
Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the
Trade Union Congress (TUC), who vowed to
go on strike to force the federal government to revert
to the former pump price of petrol (now pegged at
N145).
But just as both labour unions planned an
industrial action to force the federal government to
revert to the former pump price of petrol, the
government filed a suit at the Industrial court to
restrain the NLC and TUC from embarking
on strike. And in the early hours of Wednesday,
May 18, the court read an injunction against
NLC and TUC not to go on strike. The
court order shows that should the NLC and
TUC go ahead with the industrial action, then
they are going against the law.
Just before the court order, a meeting into the night
of Tuesday, May 17, between the federal
government and the labour workers to reach a
compromise over the proposed action, ended in a
deadlock.

Wetkas continued from where they both left off last
week — the disagreement over the property at 15,
MacDonald Road, Ikoyi.
Irregularities spotted in the description of the
property is the crux of the exchanges. Prosecution
lead, Rotimi Jacobs, is bitter over the argument,
saying the trial cannot last forever.
He said the defence team is deliberately wasting
crucial time as part of its tactics to stall the trial.
Solidarity for the Senate President is unusually
small, only two senators are here, in addition to

The hearing proper continued with the cross-
examination of prosecution witness, Michael
Wetkas.

The tribunal argued about a story that has been
circulating online, alleging a division between the
chairman, Mr Umar, and his co-chairman,
Phillip Agwaza.
According to the report, Umar always disagrees
with Agwaza and that is why Agwaza always
keeps quiet. The judges deny the report, scolding the
“layman” news reporter.
Meanwhile, Danladi Umar said that only one
lawyer should cross examine the witness, Michael
Wetkas . He said the lawyer responsible for the
cross examination should be only Kanu Agabi, the
lead counsel to the Senate president.
Umar directed the defence counsel to restrict the
number of lawyers who would cross-examine the
prosecution witness to just one, saying that the
conduct of the cross-examination had been untidy with
the frequent change of lawyers by the defence team.
However, the CCT chairman on Tuesday, May
10, ruled in favor of Saraki, for the first time since
the commencement of the trial when he permitted
more than one lawyer to cross examine Wetkas.
Paul Erokoro, one of the counsel to Saraki
asked that he wanted to cross examine Wetkas, who
is also Economic Financial Crimes Commission
(EFCC) detective but Rotimi Jacobs, the lead
counsel to the federal government objected to his
request.
Saraki during one of his appearances at the CCT
Senator Saraki is facing a 16-count charge of fraud
levelled against him by the Code of Conduct
Bureau (CCB). The bureau had on September
16, 2015 filed a 13-count charge against Saraki for
alleged false and anticipatory declaration of assets,
but increased the number to 15 on April 18 and
added one more charge on April 27.
After the charges were filed, the senate president
was invited to appear before the tribunal on
September 18.
In his reaction, Saraki approached the Federal
High Court on September 17 to block the trial
describing the charges as frivolous and politically
motivated.
On September 18, Saraki failed to appear at the
CCT, causing the tribunal’s chairman, Danladi
Umar, to grant a request by the prosecution that
Mr. Saraki be arrested and forced to appear at the
trial by the next sitting on September 21.
Saraki’s lawyer, Joseph Daudu, had prayed the
court to adjourn till Mr. Saraki’s application was
determined at the Federal High Court, but the
tribunal held that the FHC could not stop the
trial, at the tribunal.
The Senate president further filed an ex-parte
motion containing 12 grounds of appeal at the
Appeal court, asking it to issue an order demanding
the CCT to revoke the bench warrant against him.
