Nigeria
– According to pro-Biafra groups this
is the only solution to the current
nation’s problems
Two pro-Biafra groups have appealed to the United
Nations and other world leaders to divide Nigeria
into six geo-political zones to solve the current
crisis.
Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of
Biafra (MASSOB) stated that giving the six geo-
political zones in Nigeria self rule would be the
only answer to the many problems in the nation
MASSOB alongside with Biafra Independence
Movement (BIM) called on the UN and other super
powers to regard the lives of people that are
killed on a daily basis in Nigeria arising from the
insurgency in the north east and Fulani herdsmen
said to be reportedly affiliated to ISIS and Boko
Haram.
Chris Mocha, the spokesman, said the proposed
nations comprise South East, (Biafra), South South
(Niger Delta), North East, North West, South West,
(Oduduwa) and North- Central.
He underlined that no amount of preaching on
nationalism can change Nigeria as it is today.
Mocha added that when the proposed zones are
given independence, assets of the citizens of the
different countries will be protected by international
laws, just as mutual agreements will guide the
future relationship of the new republics.
Meanwhile, the group insisted that several of their
supporters were killed last week during the Biafra
anniversary at Nkpor and Onitsha.
It said: “While all the members of BIM/
MASSOB in Anambra central senatorial
district including Nkpor town in Idemili
North Local Government Area celebrated
at Ifite Dunu, our counterparts in Anambra
North including Onitsha converged at the
zonal secretariat, project site at Nteje in

Men are known for their love to brag about the size
of their genitals but some of them just can’t cope
with defeat.
A man from the village of Nikolsk in the Urals
region of Bashkortostan, Russia, is one of them.
The two friends, aged 52 and 47, were heavily
drinking for several days when they decided to
compare their penises and in a blink of an eye a
casual penis measuring contest turned into a violent

drinking, which led to a violent argument.
When words were exhausted, the attacker
pulled out an axe and first struck the
opponent on the head, then cut off his
manhood.”

him regarding false asset declaration.
Senate President Bukola Saraki at CCT hearing.
The Senate president’s trial at the Code of Conduct
Tribunal resumes after weeks of rescheduling at the
instance of prosecution team.
Sources reveal that the tribunal hopes this week to
conclude the cross-examination of prosecution
witness, Michael Wetkas.
The cross-examination began in April, a span that
prosecution team has continued to express its
dissatisfaction about.
Both teams are currently sparring over the
significance of questions being asked by the
defence.
Paul Usoro, counsel to Mr. Saraki, has been grilling
Mr. Wetkas, an EFCC official, for weeks, over
evidences he tendered against the top lawmaker
before the court.
Below are updates of how Nigeria’s no 3 man fared
at thge CCT today.
At about 13.14pm:
Kanu Agabi the lead counsel to Saraki requested an
adjournment to allow him see his doctor. The
tribunal weighed an adjournment for another week,
maybe next Wednesday.
Mr Jacobs strongly objects this, saying the court
should finish with Mr Wetkas this week as planned.
“Take it easy and understand that you
can’t overrule the court, Rotimi” said
William Atedze, co-chair of the tribunal. “If any
of us drops dead now, this trial would
continue it.”
The defence, prosecution and the tribunal chairmen
weighed the option of adjourning.
Mr. Agabi said Mr Jacob used to be his boy back in
the day and that they’ve eaten from the same pot
before.
12.59:
Cross-examination of Mr. Wetkas continues over the
discrepancies in the Maitama property Saraki was
alleged to have purchased in 1993 but which he
allegedly failed to declare in 2003 when he
became governor in Kwara.
12.42:
A chairman of the tribunal, Mr. Umar, is angry over
“rude” comments by senators and other supporters of
Saraki. The individuals, seated in the court gallery,
had repeatedly asked Rotimi Jacobs, prosecution
counsel, to “sit down”.
This infuriated Mr. Umar, who said the senate
president’s supporters’ conduct was becoming
unbearable in his court, warning that they should
“keep quiet”.
“If I hear anybody ask the counsel to sit
down, I will deal with the person and
nobody can question me about it. In fact,
I will hold the person in contempt and
sentence the person to hard labour and
nobody will question me,” Mr Umar warned.

always declared openly my will: I'm fine at Roma, I

part.”

The Brazil international's current deal does not expire

recent months
Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has

champions are ongoing, despite the centre-back
having three years remaining on his current contract.
The Brazilian is tied to the club until 2019, but
speculation that he could leave the French capital

campaign.
PSG swept the board domestically in 2015-16 for
the second successive season, with Marquinhos making
29 appearances as they won Ligue 1 by 31 points.
"There is always speculation and I have a contract
with PSG until 2019, but my situation is in
discussion," Marquinhos told a media conference.

OPINION:-----Why presidency is lying about Buhari’s ill health

Why presidency is lying about
Buhari’s ill health

Editor’s note: President Muhammadu
Buhari has embarked on ten-day medical
leave on June 6, Monday to treat ear
infection.
O’Femi Kolawole in this piece for
TheCable explains why the presidency lies
about Buhari’s ill health.
President Buhari on his way to London
Blatant lies of the president’s team
With the news to the nation by presidential
spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, that President
Muhammadu Buhari will begin a 10-day vacation to
the United Kingdom on Monday and during the
period, seek medical attention for a “persistent ear
infection”, the lid has clearly now been blown on
the contempt and disrespect some members of the
president’s team have for Nigerians in the blatant
lies they tell.
This is because just 24 hours earlier, it was the
same Adesina who told the media that the president
is “as fit as a fiddle ” as well as “hale and
hearty.”
“Didn’t you see pictures of him receiving Anglican
bishops yesterday? Did he look sick? The president
is as fit as a fiddle. Anyone who says he is sick is
telling lies. That is a figment of the person’s
imagination. Just yesterday he received the Primate
of the Anglican Communion and Archbishops at the
Presidential villa. He also received former President
Olusegun Obasanjo. He is hale and hearty. The
imagination of whoever says that is on overdrive,”
Adesina had told TheCable last Saturday.
Even The Nation, a newspaper sympathetic to the
APC, the President’s political party, also published a
news story on Sunday, “Presidency: Buhari is not sick”
in which the President’s spokesman further dismissed
and described as false media reports that the
President was ill and treating an infection in his
left ear known as Meniere Disease. Adesina told the
newspaper that Buhari was fine and discharging his
duties as President of Nigeria.
But it’s obvious the man lied!
Now, what is wrong with being sick?
Anyone can fall sick anytime just as President Buhari
himself rightly said. So, why on earth would
Adesina lie about the president’s health? In whose
interest is it? Why make such statement when the
winds of time would expose such hypocrisy? Why
the deceit? Just why?
Mr. Adesina said anyone who says the president is
sick is telling lies. With President Buhari off to the
UK, it’s now apparent who the liar is! Verily, verily
I saith unto you, Nigerians, lying is corruption!
For a leading editor and columnist whose writings
many Nigerians loved to read while he was at The
Sun, it is surprising and shocking to see what being
at the corridors of power is turning an otherwise
distinguished journalist to. If he doesn’t already
know, Mr. Adesina must realise his fans are seriously
hurting.
