Crowd molests young lady for
dressing indecently

A video showing a young lady being
molested has surfaced on Facebook.
According to Afolabi Taiwo who shared the
video on Facebook, she’s not a thief but due
to indecent dressing…she was treated in the
most shocking way!

In the 1-minute, 20-seconds video, the lady
was seen surrounded by a crowd of men,
pulling down a short dress she was wearing.
While dealing with someone pulling her dress
up to show her pant, another person at the
same time was seen pulling her bra from
behind.
After being mesmerized for a while, two
women were seen offering her a wrapper to
tie around herself. The video is absolutely
shocking!

Oops Man drags God to court for meddling in his affairs

Man drags God to court for
meddling in his affairs

Times of Israel is reporting that one David
Shoshan has filed a restraining order against
God for being negative towards him.
The man was said to have told a court in
Haifa on Tuesday, May 3, that God has been
very negative towards him over the past
three years, and has demanded that He
(God) stops interfering in his life.
In a response to the case, the court
documents proved that since God did not
present himself at the hearing, the case was
thrown out by the judge.
The complainant disclosed that he has tried
countless times to obtain the restraining
order through the police department, but did
not succeed.
Ahsan Canaan who presided over the case,
threw out Shoshan’s request, calling it
absurd and asked the complainant to get
help from someone besides local law
enforcement.

The ceremony of signing the main national
document was attended by the Vice
President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, and the
chairmen of the National Assembly
appropriation committees.
Speaking on the implementation of budget
Buhari said: “Living in the State House does
not alienate me from your daily struggles. I
hear your cries, I share your pains.
“I commend the sacrifice, resilience,
toughness of all Nigerians, who have
continued to have hope and confidence of a

economic and social policies of the govt in my

The Nigerian leader has presented a N6.08
trillion budget for the fiscal year 2016 on
December 22, 2015.
It was the first in three years that a Nigerian
president had personally presented a budget
to the National Assembly.
There was a short controversy when the
budget went missing from the NASS, when
no-one could trace the document presented
by Buhari.

But that matter was rapidly fixed and the
president received fresh document.
Later President Buhari refused to sign the
main document because he did not know the
exact content.
Exactly, the Nigerian president returned
budget for three times.
Finally, the National Assembly submitted a
clean copy of the budget to President
Buhari.
President had suspended assent after some
changes were noticed in the document.
The government announced yesterday it had
listed out 34 strategic priority programmes
and projects it intended to achieve with the
2016 budget.
It also plans to increase local production of
maize, soya beans, poultry and livestock and
to stop import.

KNEE INJURY RULES OXLADE-
CHAMBERLAIN OUT OF EURO
2016

The former Southampton midfielder faces
eight weeks on the sidelines while Per
Mertesacker will miss the remainder of the
season for Arsenal due to a hamstring
problem
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has
confirmed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has
suffered a knee injury and will miss this
summer's European Championships.
The midfielder has struggled for form this
season due to a number of injury issues, and
he will now miss up to eight weeks due to
his latest lay-off.
And Wenger has admitted his disappointment
at the former Southampton man's latest
setback after he had worked hard to regain
full fitness.
"We lost Oxlade-Chamberlain, and he will be
out for six to eight weeks I think," he told
reporters. "It's very sad. He was physically
ready.
"There is no chance of the Euros for him. He
will be back at the beginning of July."
Wenger also confirmed centre-back Per
Mertesacker will play no further part this
season due to a hamstring problem, but Santi
Cazorla could return against Manchester City
on Sunday.
"Cazorla came through an Under-21s' game
well. The season is over for Mertesacker due
to his hamstring."

VERRATTI: I COULD SPEND THE REST OF MY CAREER AT PSG

VERRATTI: I COULD SPEND THE
REST OF MY CAREER AT PSG

By Dom Farrell
The Italy international signed a new deal at
the Parc des Princes until 2020 earlier this
season and would be happy to stay even
longer, saying he has no reason to want to
leave
Marco Verratti has suggested he could spend
the rest of his career with Ligue 1 champions
Paris Saint-Germain .
The 23-year-old Italy international midfielder
moved to the French capital from Pescara in
2012 and won his fourth consecutive top-
flight title this season.
Despite the one-sided nature of PSG's
dominance on the domestic stage, there is no
sense of Verratti - who penned a contract
extension until June 2020 in February -
wanting a new challenge.
"If I feel like I do now, I don't want to change
teams because I don't know how I'll find it
elsewhere," he told RMC Sport . "Of course,
there are other very strong teams, but PSG
can become that way too.
"I'm already playing for a great team in a
great city, so I don't see why I should leave.
It's possible that I'll stay here for my whole
career.

to stay at PSG
"When I first came here I didn't get on too
well for the first months, I found the city very
big. People are very, very cold compared to
Italians.
"But now I think maybe I'll live here when I
finish my career. My son was born here, I feel
good in Paris."
Another familiar theme of recent seasons has
been the manner of PSG's Champions
League exits, with last month's loss to
Manchester City their fourth consecutive
defeat at the quarter-final stage.
But Verratti insists he is determined to help
PSG get their hands on the trophy in the
future.
"I hope to win the Champions League with
PSG one day," Verratti added. "That's my
objective because we've already won
everything in France.
"It's very important to go further in the
Champions League. That's what we have to
do more in the coming years."

WEST HAM IN TALKS WITH MARSEILLE OVER €40M BATSHUAYI MOVE

WEST HAM IN TALKS WITH
MARSEILLE OVER €40M
BATSHUAYI MOVE

By Harry Sherlock

The Hammers are keen to recruit a striker in
the summer and have identified the 22-year-
old Belgium international, who has netted 21
times so far this term, as a key target
West Ham are in negotiations with Marseille
over a potential club-record €40 million deal
for striker Michy Batshuayi ,
Goal understands.
The 22-year-old has scored 21 goals in all
competitions so far this season and has
subsequently been identified as a possible
recruit by the Hammers, who are keen to add
more firepower to their squad.
Sources close to the club have confirmed
that West Ham's priority this summer is to
sign a marquee striker - along with back-up
for Sam Byram at right-back - and a
comprehensive shortlist has been drawn up.
Batshuayi is likely to be an expensive signing
- with Marseille keen to receive a transfer fee
higher than the £24m they acquired from
Chelsea for Didier Drogba - but West Ham's
owners, David Sullivan and David Gold, have
shown a willingness to back Slaven Bilic in
the transfer market in the past and look set
to do so again.
West Ham are understood to be in talks over
Batshuayi with the French club and any deal
would break their record transfer fee, which
currently stands at the £15m the club paid
Liverpool to sign Andy Carroll.

Nnamdi Kanu in court
The Federal government has said that the
sub-regional ECOWAS community court
sitting in Abuja lacked “the requisite
jurisdiction” to hear and determine a matter
of the leader of the Indigenous People of
Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
The government writes an objection No.
ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16 said the court
shouldn’t hear a matter brought before it by
Biafra leader.
It has advised the court to dismiss and/or
strike out the action for want of jurisdiction,
“ stemming from incompetency in initiating the
application against the defendants.”

The administration described the move of
plaintiff who proceeded to the ECOWAS
court instead of waiting for conclusion of his
application before the Nigerian Domestic
Court of Appeal on his bail as “an abuse of
court process or subjecting the Nigerian law
to ridicule.”
Kanu was being charged under existing
Nigerian domestic laws and as such cannot
correctly file the suit before the sub-regional
court.
“The corporate existence of Nigeria as a
united, harmonious, indivisible and
indissoluble sovereign nation is certainly
greater than any citizen’s liberty or right and it
survives in pieces rather than in peace,
individual’s liberty or rights may not even
exist,” it said.

President fails to make
specific details of assets public

– The CCB has concluded the verification of
President Buhari, other government officials’
assets
– Buhari failed his promise to release the
comprehensive details of all of his assets
President Muhammadu Buhari has yet again
failed to fulfill his promise.
Buhari had said he would release full details
of his assets after verification of the listed
items by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The CCB has earlier said that it had since
completed the verification of the president’s
assets.
President Buhari and his vice Yemi Osinbajo
had on September 3, 2015, published only
some details of assets and liabilities.
According to the statement of presidential
media aide Garba Shehu the Nigerian leader
had N30 million in his bank account before
inauguration on May 29, while the vice
president had N94 million and $900,000.
The other assets of the president comprise
five houses in Kaduna, Daura, Kano and
Abuja; two undeveloped plots of land, one in
Kano and the other in Port Harcourt.
Firstly, the presidency had told Nigerians
that Buhari was awaiting confirmation of the
declared wealth by the CCT before going
public.
However, a week away from Buhari’s 100
days in office, amid mounting criticism, the
presidency and the ruling All Progressives
Congress rejected that the president made
any promise within his first 100 days in
office.

President Muhammadu Buhari will not sign
the 2016 budget sent to his office until he is
advised to do so by Senator Udoma Udo-
Udoma, the minister of Budget and National
Planning.
Earlier reports confirmed that the president
has received the clean copy of the budget
on Thursday, May 5, but needs to go through
again and get the consent of his minister
before finally approving the document.
According to The Punch, Garba Shehu, the
president’s spokesperson, confirmed that the
document had been received, stating
however, that the president would nit just
attest his signature without any scrutiny.
“The question now is that have those concerns
been corrected 100 per cent?
“We should not mix things up. The process is
that ministers, who raised the initial concerns,
should study the new document and ascertain
that the concerns have been addressed 100

Buhari: The Joshua Dogonyaro verdict

verdict

Editor’s note: It has been almost one year
since Muhammadu Buhari was inaugurated as
Nigerian President. While many Nigerians
believe that it’s too early to sum up some
achievements Remi Oyeyemi shares his views
on Buhari’s first year in power.
Buhari’s stewardship in the context of the
present sufferings of Nigerians
As we berth at the banks of one year bash
of the ascension of President Muhammadu
Buhari to office as a civilian leader, it is
important that we interrogate his
stewardship so far in the context of the
present sufferings of Nigerians. In this
interrogation, the only sensible and fair
instrument that would be used is that of
History in juxtaposition to the present to
engage in the hazardous task of gauging in a
fairly manner, what the next three years
would likely look like.
It was the Spanish born American trained
essayist, George Santayana who once
posited that those who refused to learn the
lessons of history are bound to repeat the
mistakes of history. In this, he has been
seconded by our own WS, Professor Wole
Soyinka who has also posited, “History
matters. Records are not kept simply to
assist the weakness of memory, but to
operate as guides to the future.”
