Manchester City and Real Madrid played a
goalless draw in their first leg of the
Champions League semi-final clash at the
Etihad stadium. The Citizens were the better
side in the first half with De Bruyne and
Fernandinho the better players on the pitch.
There were no note worthy chances in the
first half but the second half came to life
with Jese hitting the cross bar, while Joe
Hart saved headers via corners from Pepe
and Casemiro.

Man City could have won at the death as De
Bruyne struck a stinging free-kick but Kaylor
Navas was on hand to parry the ball over the
bar, and that was the last action of the
game.
