Man City manager hails
Iheanacho after double against
Saints

– Manuel Pellegrini has hailed Kelechi
Iheanacho’s performance in a 4 – 2 loss to
Southampton
– Iheanacho scored twice to take his goal
tally for the season to 13 goal for City
– Pellegrini rested some of his best players
ahead of the Champions League clash with
Real Madrid
Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini,
has hailed the immense potential of his
charge Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho celebrates his second goal
against Southampton
Iheanacho scored twice as City lost 4 – 2 to
Southampton in a Premier League game on
Sunday with the second a possible
contender for goal of the season.
With one eye on the Champions League
semi-final second leg clash with Real Madrid,
Pellegrini opted to rest some of his best
players in what turned out to be an inept
performance from his players bar Iheanacho.

“It’s very important for a player to score goals.
I was happy with the way he (Iheanacho)
played today. I’m happy for him with the goals
that he scored,” Pellegrini told City’s official
website.
“In the first half we had clear options to score
so they scored the two goals but we got back
in it with Kelechi.”
Disappointed to lose today, we all come
back stronger #CMONCITY https://t.co/
