Iheanacho is certain to miss the
Rio Olympics as he was shortlisted
in Manchester City’s provisional
squad for their pre season tour.
Pep Guardiola named his 34-man
team for their pre season friendly
games and the 19-year-old’s name
was a notable addition for the
billionaire club to tour China.

The Citizens from the outset have
stated that the 19-year-old will not
be available for Siasia’s Dream
Team VI squad playing in next
month’s Olympic Games in Brazil.
Iheanacho join the likes of Sergio
Aguero, David Silva, Joe Hart and
Vincent kompany in the party for
City’s games against Bayern Munich,
Borussia Dortmund and city rivals,
Manchester United.
However, Nicolas Otamendi, Raheem
Sterling and new signing Nolito have
been given extended breaks after a
grueling international commitmemnt
over the summer.
Iheanacho has scored 14 goals in
all competitions last season with
seven in the Premier League, four
in the FA Cup and three in the
Capital One Cup which was City’s
only silverware for the 2015/2016
season.
